BREATHWORK

Reimagine the Classic Katonah Yoga Metaphor: “Body as a House”Our Mind is the Resident, our Body: the Abode, and our Breath?  “That’s the Spirit!” that moves through us.

Its Spirit that enriches the soul; animating, enlivening, and invoking the questions that welcomes us to a sense of wonder, grace and presence of a well-kept home.

In practice, we’ll explore the Taoist maps, mathematics, metaphors, and rhyme in to create a breathwork practice that is akin to cleaning your home.  Experience the function of organs and glands as the utilities and appliances within each room. You’ll learn to relate to your circumstances with greater technical skill and understanding. Become more sensible and practical in how you inhabit and furnish each room of your lhome. Light the furnace, walk up to the art studio, have tea with a friend in your kitchen, stay busy in the office, and when it’s time, do the laundry, take out the trash, and rise to the top for the view.

BODY READING

In our body reading segment, we’ll examine the lines of your arches, look at the doorways and gateways of your eyes and ears, and extrapolate meaning from the explicit shapes found within every body. Walk away with a clearer vision of living on a stable foundation and an understanding of how the whole really is more than the sum of its parts.
